Mr. Kwaplong, Collins Katroen is a seasoned legal practitioner and regulatory compliance professional with extensive experience in corporate law, board administration, and statutory compliance. He holds a Bachelor’s (LL.B Hons) and Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees and is currently enrolled in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Law. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation in Nigeria (CITN).
He currently serves as Company Secretary and Head, Legal and Regulatory Compliance at the Nigerian Electricity Supply Corporation (Nigeria) Limited (NESCO), where he advises the Board and Management on legal and regulatory matters, ensures statutory and sectoral compliance, manages corporate filings, and oversees regulatory engagements.
Previously, he served as Legal and Administrative Officer at the University of Jos and concurrently as Company Secretary of Naraguta Bricks and Clay Products Limited, where he was responsible for board processes, compliance oversight, and corporate documentation. He began his career in private legal practice at Maiyaki (SAN), Ikpe & Associates, handling litigation, legal advisory, and a myriad of issues and commercial matters.
